Bring your dog to a private cottage above Lake Baroon
Yes, Lillypilly's is dog friendly. We welcome one small to medium, well behaved, toilet trained dog per cottage, and low or non shedding breeds suit our space best. Please tell us when you book so we can confirm the right cottage for you both. Our private cottages sit on a ridge above Lake Baroon, about 5 minutes from Montville and 10 minutes from Maleny, with rates from $360 per night.

Every cottage is self contained and set along the ridge for privacy, so your dog stays with you in your own space rather than in a shared room or a kennel. You have a private verandah with a BBQ, a wood log fire, a double spa bath, a queen bed with ensuite and a kitchenette with a Nespresso machine.
Mornings start with breakfast delivered to your door, which means a quiet, unhurried start for you and your dog. In the evening, in-cottage dining is served to your verandah, so you can enjoy a candlelit dinner without leaving your dog on their own.
Tell us about your dog when you enquire or book. We confirm that your dog suits the cottage and send guidelines so the stay is comfortable for every guest.
Please keep your dog off the beds and sofas and never leave them unattended in the cottage. A cleaning fee of $80 applies to shedding breeds, and further costs may apply if there is damage or if carpets or other items need replacing.
Because dogs must not be left alone, talk to us when you plan day spa treatments or outings so we can help you work out a plan that suits you both.

The Blackall Range is made for slow country days, and Maleny and Montville are both a short drive away. Dogs are generally not allowed in Queensland national parks, including popular walks such as Kondalilla Falls, so check the rules at parks.qld.gov.au before you set out and confirm with any cafe or cellar door that dogs are welcome.
Many guests simply settle into the verandah, watch the birdlife over Lake Baroon and let the cottage do the work. If you want ideas for the rest of your stay, see our guide to a Maleny and Montville weekend.
