Lillypilly's Country Cottages is at 584 Maleny-Montville Rd, Balmoral Ridge QLD 4552, on a private ridge above Lake Baroon between the villages of Maleny and Montville in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland. It is about 90 minutes north of Brisbane and 30-40 minutes from Sunshine Coast beaches.

Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need different timings, contact us before your stay and we will do our best to accommodate you.

There are five studio-style cottages, each individually designed and positioned along the ridge for total privacy. No two cottages share the same view, and each has its own private verandah.

Yes, we're a dog and pet friendly retreat. Well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed at select cottages. Please let us know your dog is joining you when you enquire so we can recommend the right cottage for you both.

Yes. Our in-cottage dining is like a restaurant for two delivered to your private verandah - chef-prepared candlelit dinners, gourmet platters and hot country breakfasts served at the moment you choose.

Yes. Our on-site day spa offers couples massages, facials and indulgent treatments, making it easy to combine a romantic cottage stay with a full spa experience without leaving the property.

Yes. Guests can enjoy our freshwater pool set among native gardens, exclusively for cottage guests.

Absolutely. Lillypilly's is designed as a quiet, adults-oriented couples retreat - private cottages with spa baths and fireplaces, in-cottage dining and a day spa make it a favourite for anniversaries, honeymoons, proposals and special occasions.

The cottages are around 90 minutes drive north of Brisbane and 30-40 minutes from Sunshine Coast beaches. Montville village is about 5 minutes away and Maleny about 10 minutes.

The Blackall Range surrounds you: Kondalilla Falls, Gardners Falls, Lake Baroon, Montville and Maleny villages, wineries, artisan food trails, rainforest walking tracks and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk are all within easy reach.

Yes. The cottages rest along a peaceful ridge above Lake Baroon, and each cottage enjoys its own individual outlook - lake, valley or garden - with no two views the same.

We welcome one small to medium, well behaved, toilet trained dog per cottage, and low or non shedding breeds suit our space best. Please tell us at the time of booking so we can confirm suitability. Dogs must not be left unattended or sit on the beds and sofas. A cleaning fee of $80 applies to shedding breeds, and further costs may apply if there is damage.

Nightly cottage rates are quoted for stays of two nights or more and vary by cottage, so see the Stay page for current prices. One-night Bed and Breakfast packages are also available and are rarely offered on Saturdays.

Reservations require a 50 percent deposit. The deposit, less a $75 administration fee, is refunded if you give 7 or more days notice before arrival. Cancellations with 6 days notice or less, including no shows, incur a 100 percent cancellation fee unless all booked nights can be re-booked. Travel insurance is recommended.

Yes. Breakfast is served to your cottage daily at your nominated time between 7:30 am and 9:00 am.

Dinner is served to your cottage Wednesday to Saturday evenings. Place your order by 3 pm that day. Entree service starts at 6:30 pm and main courses are served from 7:00 pm. We do not cook on all public holidays, so please check with us in advance. A BBQ pack for two is available Tuesday to Sunday if ordered by 3 pm.

The day spa is open Wednesday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. All services are by appointment only, for both cottage guests and visiting guests, and advance reservations are highly recommended.

Yes. Couples treatments are guaranteed in our shared treatment room for 120 minutes per person, and shorter side-by-side treatments can be arranged when they fit around existing bookings. See the couples massage page for treatments and prices.

The freshwater pool is unheated and open daily from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm in the warmer months only. It is free for cottage guests. There is no lifeguard on duty.

Yes. Lillypilly's is a quiet adult retreat designed for couples and guests seeking peace and privacy. Quiet hours run from 9:30 pm to 7:30 am.

You may host up to 2 visitors at your cottage during the day, and we ask that visitors leave by 6:00 pm. The cottages are smoke free indoors, and you are welcome to smoke outdoors on your private verandah using the ashtrays provided.
